Hi friend! đź‘‹ Here are the exterior paint colors from my reel.
Save this for your future projects!
✨ Exterior Paint Colors (Sherwin-Williams)
• Charleston White (SW 7015) — main body
• Tricorn Black (SW 6258) — shutters, doors, accents
• Atmospheric (SW 6505) — porch ceilings / haint blue
🎨 Recommended Sheens + Paint Types
(High-end, best-practice for a luxury Southern home)
Siding:
Emerald Exterior (or Latitude for humidity—works great in the South)
Sheen: Satin
— Gives a soft glow, hides imperfections, resists mildew better
Trim:
Emerald Exterior
Sheen: Satin or Semi-Gloss
— Semi-gloss is more classic + crisp
— Satin is softer and more modern
(Choose based on vibe: your home would look stunning with semi-gloss for contrast.)
Doors + Shutters:
Emerald Urethane Trim Enamel
Sheen: Satin or Semi-Gloss
— Rich, durable, and gives Tricorn Black a gorgeous depth
— Satin = softer Charleston look
— Semi-Gloss = more polished, traditional
Porch Ceiling:
Duration or Emerald Exterior
Sheen: Flat or Satin
— Flat gives that authentic historic Charleston look
— Satin gives easier cleanup, light bounce, and mildew resistance
(For Alabama humidity: Satin is perfection.)
🛠️ Application NotesÂ
• Prime first if covering darker colors
• Two coats always
• Test Charleston White in BOTH sun + shade (it shifts beautifully)
• Tricorn Black looks richer in satin than flat
• Atmospheric haint blue reads lighter outdoors — don’t panic if the swatch looks bold indoors
Hope this helps you!
xoxo,
Kelli
